Terms of use

These terms describe the private, non-commercial Actual Budget application operated under the Hazybits domain (the “Application”). The Application is for the operator’s own financial accounts and is not offered to the public.

Purpose and permitted use

The Application retrieves account information authorised by the account holder and imports it into a personal budgeting system. It does not initiate payments, provide financial advice, or provide banking, accounting, investment, credit, or regulated payment services to other people.

Account authorisation

Access is limited to accounts explicitly linked by the operator. The operator must follow the applicable bank’s and Enable Banking’s terms and may revoke access at any time. The Application must not be used to access another person’s account without their valid authority.

Accuracy and availability

Bank data, categorisation, balances, and transaction imports may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or unavailable. The operator remains responsible for checking imported information against official bank records, reconciling the budget, maintaining backups, and making all financial decisions independently. The Application is provided for personal convenience without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Third-party services

The Application relies on third-party software and services, including Actual Budget, Enable Banking, and participating banks. Their separate terms and privacy notices apply to their respective services. The operator does not control their availability or the accuracy of data they provide.

Ending use

Use can be ended by unlinking the account in Actual Budget and revoking the associated consent through the bank or Enable Banking. Locally imported records may remain in the personal budget until deleted.
